THE BRIEF: Tacoma Public Schools is launching an esports program and needs 16 unique logos, one for each school. Each design should use the school’s official colors, follow modern esports aesthetics, and remain bold, clear, and versatile across digital, print, uniforms, and merchandise. Deliverables include 16 logos, a style guide, and files in vector and raster formats, with concepts, revisions, and final delivery completed on an agreed timeline.

THE SOLUTION: Starting with hand-drawn sketches, 60 initial logo concepts were developed. These were presented to the client and collaboratively narrowed down to three logo options per school, each featuring two distinct colorways aligned with official school colors. This iterative process ensured the final designs reflected both the individuality of each team and the cohesive identity of the esports department.

LOGO DESIGN: The logos will evoke gaming through three-dimensional forms reminiscent of controller buttons or the classic PS1 logo. Research into popular esports team branding will also inform contemporary and competitive design choices, ensuring bold, versatile results across digital, print, and merchandise.
